Sixth Sense PR
Sixth Sense PR
During a public relations course at Boise State, I had the opportunity to be part of a semester-long project that involved building and running a student-created firm called Sixth Sense. Our group operated as a full agency team, responsible for developing every aspect of the firm from the ground up. This included creating the firm’s name, visual identity, branding, internal structure, and workflow. We assigned roles, set goals, and approached each stage of the project as a professional team would in a real-world agency setting.
Throughout the semester, we researched and developed full campaign strategies for real businesses and nonprofits based in the Boise area. This included conducting audience research, crafting brand messaging, designing creative elements, building mock budgets, and laying out step-by-step campaign rollouts. Working collaboratively under deadlines taught me how to communicate effectively in a team, manage multiple moving parts, and think both strategically and creatively at the same time.
My Role
As Creative Director, I was responsible for overseeing several key
tasks essential to the firm's success. I played a pivotal role in the
creation of our firm’s name and developed the slogan, “Intuitive
strategies, lasting impressions.” Drawing inspiration from our name, I
designed the logo, color scheme, and overall brand aesthetic to
accurately reflect our firm's identity. Additionally, I designed our
letterhead, envelopes, and business cards, ensuring that our brand’s
design decisions remained cohesive across all projects,
presentations, and reports. I led the brainstorming sessions for
campaign ideas and strategies, while also staying informed on
emerging trends in social media to effectively incorporate these
platforms into our firm's work.
